Pastoe

Pastoe has been one of the defining voices in Dutch furniture design since 1913. Under the creative direction of Cees Braakman — who joined in 1942 — the Utrecht-based maker produced some of the most celebrated modular cabinets and shelving systems of the twentieth century.

Braakman's UMS series, FM series cabinets, and the iconic Japanese Series chair remain pinnacles of Scandinavian-influenced Dutch modernism. Pastoe pieces are recognisable by their restrained palette, precise joinery, and a respect for materials that has made them enduring collector favourites. Collectors Network features authenticated Pastoe pieces offered by specialist vintage dealers.
