Archizoom

Archizoom Associati was founded in Florence in 1966 by Andrea Branzi, Gilberto Corretti, Paolo Deganello, and Massimo Morozzi — four architects who used design as a weapon against design. Their Dream Beds, AEO chair (Cassina, 1973), and Mies chair were provocations: anti-comfort, anti-function, anti-good-taste in the service of a sharp critique of consumer culture.

Archizoom's work helped define the Radical Design movement and influenced every generation of Italian design that followed, from Memphis to Droog.
