Gispen

Gispen has been making design furniture in Rotterdam since 1916. Founded by Willem Hendrik Gispen — a metalworker who trained under Berlage — the brand was at the forefront of Dutch modernism before the term existed. Gispen's tubular steel chairs and desks defined the Dutch office and school through the mid-century, and his 1930s lighting remains among the most refined industrial design of the period.

As a Rotterdam institution, Gispen holds particular significance for Collectors Network.
