The stool is one of design's purest problems: a single object that must be structurally sound, ergonomically appropriate, and — at its best — beautiful. Our vintage stool collection is a curated selection of bar stools, step stools, footstools, and occasional seating from across European design history.

Highlights include early wire and moulded shell designs, Scandinavian solid wood stools with woven seats, Italian chrome bar stools from the 1970s, and functional industrial pieces that have found a second life in domestic interiors. Stools are among the most versatile and most giftable of all vintage design objects.
