Alvar Aalto Paimio nr. 41 lounge chair for Artek, 1931

Great master-piece of Finnish designer Alvar Aalto who designed the chair in 1931/’32 for the interior of a tuberculosis sanatorium in the Finnish city of Paimio. Therefore it is named after it. This piece is probably from the late 80s.

The frame in bent laminated birch, seat in white lackered plywood.

In a solid, good vintage condition with some signs of usage like some wear on its seat (see all images for a good impression).
