Dining Chairs by Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn,Denmark 2 CH37 and 2 CH36

The dining chair by Hans J. Wegner is made with great attention to detail in a simple and functional design. This design from 1962 demonstrates the influence that American Shaker furniture principles and craftsmanship had on Wegner's work. These chairs are from the 1960s and all have new paper cord. The legs of the CH36 taper slightly towards the ground as well as towards the top at the back legs, creating an elegant look. The backrest is significantly more curved at the top than at the bottom to optimize the support of the back. The overall look is completed with the frame and chair hand-woven in durable paper cord. We only sell this set as a whole because the colors are the same because they are all the same age.
