About this piece
This exquisite set of two table lamps by Barovier & Toso is a true masterpiece of Venetian craftsmanship, made in the 1950s. Featuring beautiful hand-blown Murano glass, these lamps showcase the intricate techniques and artistry for which the Murano glassmakers are renowned. The lamps are crafted from a large, amfora-shaped glass vessel, adorned with stunning, large glass flowers that extend from the base to the top, meticulously arranged to create a striking visual effect. The warm, light white glass is elegantly accented with a black blown glass rim, adding contrast and sophistication.
One of the most remarkable features of these lamps is the delicate microbubbles that are trapped inside the glass flowers and bulbs, a distinctive process typical of the era. These lamps not only provide beautiful ambient lighting but also serve as a stunning decorative element, combining form and function seamlessly.
Due to the delicate nature of the Murano glass, the lamps will be carefully packaged in a wooden crate with plenty of protective material, so shipping costs will be slightly higher.
Barovier & Toso, founded in 1942, remains one of the most respected names in Venetian glassmaking, known for their innovation and quality.
