Important piece that is clearly a precursor for the later Memphis and postmodern furniture design movement performed by Ettore Sottsass, Philippe Starck and Shiro Kuramata.
The deliberate use of a simplified iconic image - such as an ancient column, made of a cutting edge material, makes it a great pop art object as well. Heavy, 30 kilo.
