About this piece
A bold and playful pair of large-scale Memphis-inspired sculptural candle holders that capture the irreverent spirit of 1980s Italian postmodern design. Defined by their striking geometric composition and vibrant color palette, these pieces blur the boundary between decorative art and functional object.
Constructed from lacquered wood in vivid coral-orange, cobalt blue, emerald green, and crimson accents, each sculpture is composed of stacked linear forms supporting a floating circular candle dish. The result is a dynamic architectural silhouette that echoes the visual language of the Memphis movement—graphic, unconventional, and unapologetically expressive.
Equally compelling as candle holders or standalone sculptures, the pair creates a powerful visual statement on a console, pedestal, mantel, or shelving installation. Their scale and sculptural presence allow them to function as collectible design objects even when not in use.
