Tobia Scarpa

Tobia Scarpa, born in Venice in 1935, grew up in the shadow of Carlo Scarpa and entered design as a natural extension of his architectural inheritance. Together with his wife Afra, he produced some of the most enduring furniture of the Italian post-war era: the Bastiano sofa for Gavina (later Knoll), the Soriana armchair for Cassina (Compasso d'Oro, 1970), the 925 lamp for Flos.
